I've tried installing it on different USB ports, uninstalling the failed drivers that Windows installs anyway (even after you tell it to cancel its install), allowing Windows to install its failed drivers and then install the Broadcom software, starting the Broadcom installer while deleting the Windows failed driver and then clicking accept on the Broadcom software, trying all of this on two different PCs, installing the software that came with the adapter (which I found out from Rocketfish doesn't work anyway and just use the Broadcom software), etc. Do you think I should try uninstalling the Microsoft drivers anyway, or is there another potential solution? What if you never let Windows install its own drivers (which fail anyway)? After installing the Broadcom drivers, my iPhone also paired with no need to change any settings.

Thinking I might be facing a similar issue with the phone, I navigated to the same 'Services' tab and tried checking 'MAP MAS-iOS,' 'Remote Control,' and 'Wireless iAP,' then hitting 'apply.' However, when Windows tried to install those drivers, it failed immediately and told me no drivers were found. I ran into a similar problem when trying to pair my Razr Orochi mouse and learned through extensive Googling that when the mouse appeared in the list of device to be paired, I needed to right-click the device, select 'properties,' and, in the tab labeled 'Services,' check the box that said 'Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID).' I set my iPhone to be discoverable, it shows up in the list of Bluetooth devices that can be paired with my computer, I start the pairing process, and it times out after 3-5 minutes.

I downloaded the Broadcom driver installation program linked on the support page for the RF-BCDM4 ( When I ran the driver installation program, it got to the second step ('validate bluetooth device') and stopped, returning the error 'Failed to update Bluetooth Software.' I have completely reformatted the computer and tried the installation again, with no success. I need to install the manufacturer's drivers. These drivers do not work properly the device has limited functionality. When I plugged in my adapter, Windows detected it and automatically installed generic drivers. I am running a fresh installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 圆4. I have a Rocketfish USB Bluetooth adapter, model RF-BCDM4. Hopefully whoever answers this will be more helpful. I saw a post here where someone asked almost this exact question recently, but he got a terrible service rep who didn't even bother to read his entire post and there was no solution posted.
